We changed

The plan area is characterised by the transition from medium-density residential development to open landscape space. The project forms a new urban edge, where the urban fabric meets the nature and offers a possibility to combine calmness of living in the countryside with the advantages of a lively urban neighborhood.

Transformation

+ Permeable Urban Form: Buildings are placed and shaped to maximize landscape exposure, ensuring every dwelling has a relationship to nature while keeping an intimate, neighborly scale.
+ New Typology of Edge Living: Introduced a high-density residential form that doesn’t block but rather frames views and access to the open landscape.

Climate

+ The handling of rainwater is conceived as a holistic system including the open spaces and the building facades and roofs, which is used to regulate the microclimate.
+ The roofs are used intensively to generate energy through photovoltaic systems.
+ The placement and granularity of the building mass enables good ventilation of the quarter.
