We changed

We transformed a postwar low-rise neighborhood into a contemporary, socially vibrant urban ensemble by integrating a new U-shaped block, a landmark tower, and a communal raised garden, while unifying old and new through carefully detailed façades and shared spatial language.

Transformation

+ Architectural Reinterpretation: Revived postwar “Wederopbouw architectuur” with a contemporary façade using traditional materials in new forms.
+ Living Quality: Added community-oriented features like a lush inner garden, galleries with amenity spaces, and generous balconies.
+ Visual Identity: Developed a high-contrast vertical façade with layered repetition, maintaining individuality of units.

Climate

+ Elevated central garden promotes biodiversity, social cohesion, and passive cooling.
+ Façade design maximizes natural light and ventilation, especially toward the park and lake.
