We changed

“The new city” will transform into a place for pleasant and sustainable collective living. In our vision we make a connective neighborhood, future-proof for several consecutive generations. 465 social apartments will be realized in the new plan. Integration of urban design, architecture and landscape leads to an urban district where human scale, connectivity, health, circularity and future-proof solutions form the key concepts.

Transformation

+ Existing structures are dismantled using Urban Mining—not demolished but harvested, so materials are reused sustainably in the new construction.
+ Replacing monumental blocks with five carefully placed, mid-rise volumes introduces rhythm, light, and community interaction on a relatable scale.
+ Sculpted Urban Identity.

Climate

+ The restored creek acts as a water buffer, absorbing rainwater and flooding selectively to create microclimates and biotopes, while offering playful, natural spaces.

Collaboration

+ Architecture Meets Social Design: Based on “Sociaalruimtelijk Denken”, the project intentionally links physical design with social cohesion, especially for children, teens, and marginalized groups.
