Project

The project in Herthastraße consists of two six-storey buildings, the front building and garden building, with a total of 35 flats. In accordance with planning law, the two new volumes fit into the logic of an existing Wilhelminian style block typical of Berlin.

The floor plans are designed as three-flats, with two larger through-flats and one smaller, south-facing flat. The through-sided flats contain a living hall as a defining theme, which spans from the north to the south façade and accommodates the living, dining and kitchen functions. The smaller one-sided flat is developed as a "mini-loft", with a set-in wet room block as a structuring element.

The ground floor is slightly raised on the street side. The raised ground floor situation, in conjunction with the front garden zone typical of Herthastrasse, ensures the privacy of the flats located here.
