Project

Ekaterinburg, Russia’s fourth largest city, initiated a comprehensive visioning process to guide its future development. MLA+ and its partners facilitated public workshops, expert consultations, and strategy sessions to identify key challenges and opportunities. The resulting strategy emphasized the importance of connecting the city to the wider region, diversifying its economy, and enhancing its urban quality of life. It proposed spatial scenarios that balance growth with preservation of cultural heritage and natural assets. The process also resulted in the publication of a book that documents the findings and provides a roadmap for future development.
