Project

Set between Qingdao’s historic Old Town, the cutting-edge Blue Valley New District, and the stunning Laoshan National Park, this project transforms a rare coastal peninsula into a vibrant, resilient destination. Drawing from global best practices, the design blends large-scale vision with deep respect for the site’s natural topography, creating lively neighborhoods, thriving public spaces, and a strong connection to the bay.

Guided by three principles — Re-Stitching park and coastal networks, Re-Naturalizing the shoreline through an adaptive “Growing Coastline,” and Re-Enforcing connections to future urban growth — the plan delivers a waterfront that’s ecological, flexible, and full of life. The result: a coastal community where nature, culture, and urban energy meet to create an unforgettable place to live, visit, and explore.
