Project

In our project Beijing Micropolis, we intergrate the western idea of residential courtyards blocks with local tradition. Two axis public-private and active-calm define 4 courtyards with different characters. Arches on the ground level open the courtyards, and allow free pedestrian flow through all outdoor spaces to support social life and create a bigger sense of an open community. This variety of public spaces, outdoor amenities and spatial qualities supports a rich social life.

Total above ground GFA of 173,000 m2, consisting of 140,000 m2 Micro-Living Residential Units, 18,000 m2 Elderly Housing and Facilities, 7,500 m2 Commercial & Public Space, 5,000 m2 Dormitory, 2,500 m2 Bus Station.
And 83,000 m2 Underground Space for parking, commercial spaces, sport facilities, and community public spaces.
