Project

MLA+’s winning project “Listen to Yantian” rethinks mountain landscape design as a network of routes and observation points, rather than just creating scenery. With splendid sea views, waterways, and natural settings, the park emphasizes rhythm, networks, and follies. Rhythm: four functional zones with activities for different groups. Network: upgrading and extension of a 49 km Fire Patrol Road system as traffic backbone. Follies: 100 destinations designed around human senses, allowing people to “listen” to the echo between mountains and sea. Together, these strategies create a 49 km Banshan Park Belt that enhances both quality of life and nature, offering a new “great outdoors” for Shenzhen.
