We are proud to announce the completion of the design phase of The Art Corridor Project in Al Khobar, designed by MLA+ in collaboration with BINA Engineering + OMRAN Architects.
Commissioned by the Sharqia Development Authority | هيئة تطوير المنطقة الشرقية, The Art Corridor reimagines a central stretch of Al Khobar as a vibrant, low-carbon public realm. At its heart lies The Walk, a project that connects two complementary environments:
– A waterfront along the Gulf with scenic views, an amphitheater, and recreational spaces
– A lively neighborhood full of shops, community life, and cultural energy
Key CHANGE include:
– A dynamic Urban Plaza for cultural events and daily life
– A sculptural Pedestrian and Bike Bridge reconnecting districts
– A climate-adaptive public realm with passive cooling, natural shading, and car-free mobility
Together, these elements strengthen the bond between the waterfront and the inner city, creating inclusive spaces for culture, recreation, and everyday life.
